Shot during my first year at AUB, ‘Burnt Out‘ serves as a visual exploration of the physical ramifications of academic stress on students. The project involved a methodical process wherein I shot an entire roll of B&W 35mm film during my daily commute from my student halls in town to the university campus. Following this, I would develop the film on campus, cut it up and fix it to the sole of my shoe before embarking on the return journey.

The repetitive commute to and from campus during the creation of this body of work evolved into a performative element, inevitably resulting in physical exhaustion.
