Who am I, if not a clown?

This self-portrait series was the final project within my first year at AUB, ‘Who am I, if not a clown?‘ aimed to delve into my struggles of personal identity. The images focus on my own experiences, the project delves into the notion of assuming the role of a performer solely for the purpose of entertaining others; I found myself adopting the persona of a clown, a role that seemingly offered simplicity in pleasing those around me.

Throughout the creation of this work, I engaged with digital mediums, employing a fisheye lens to position myself as the central figure within the narrative of the clown. This deliberate choice served to take personal accountability within the creative process.
